🙏🏾 Again, if there is any way I can help. 🙌🏾 Now that I think of it, this is a no-brainer!! Imagine how much violence, drug abuse, school absence and disrespect for authority would be eliminated from EVERY community if we knew our Mothers and Fathers were right outside our classroom! I think this influence could lead to less gun violence in schools as well when people have that mentorship and the thought that there are some potentially strapped up Dads hanging around the school.
Now with many of us working virtually, we have the ability to once again take back our neighborhood and re-invest in our most precious assets: our kids AND our community. They usually get the disease by swallowing anthrax spores. Then, when we got home, we knew it was going to be 2 times the punishment! One ass whooping for whatever we did wrong, and another for embarrassing our mothers! 😂 Hoofed animals, such as deer, cattle, goats, and sheep, are the main animals affected by this disease. When most of us grew up, we were taught that if we got in trouble in the neighborhood, another parent could discipline us. Both parents have to work, and we now trust that the teachers and police will raise our kids for us, but in reality, it’s still OUR job!! #DadsonDuty realized that there’s no room for complaining or blaming, and decided to step up to the plate themselves. The days when American families could live off a single income are behind us.
There's never a bad time to salute these Black men who are making Black history as we speak!! They go by the name of Dads on Duty. It's Juneteenth AND Father's Day so I had to bring this post back again.
